The Rap Game: Buffalo City's Top 10

These are the views from the host of your favourite Hiphop Show on trufm, that Radio Killa - Ground Zero.

10* Royal Swagg - boys are still new to the grand hustle but I doubt it will be long till the hit top 5.

09* Manskap - Boys hav been around but the gutter swallows them every now and again they disappear and reappear periodically

08* Gorba Schav - a pioneer in his circles man with the twisted tongue, raps fast and makes sense + killer freestyles

07* Tap Root - I'd put this man higher but he has a point to prove, he had an incomplete project leaked called "Vision" and peeps thought it was an official title.

06* Kweriez - Every1 has heard of Rhyme Squad and this man was one of the forerunners, he has worked on himself and sounds even better as a solo artist delivering a street classic in "Mob Justice".

05* B.laqphamas - I honestly think that my strong point is my online hustle, no one runs the virtual game in my city better than I do. Men lie, women lie, numbers don't. I'm also one of the more influential cats in the Eastern Cape's hiphop landscape.

04* Number - The man who gave you "How You Feeling" would be higher up on this list a few months back. He has a solid backing and a proper team behind him which most artists lack. Rubber Ribs is doing this man good, expect another album this year.

03* Phoenix - The feMC (female MC) who slaughtered cats live on Channel O during their MC search, she has a great following outside of the Eastern Cape

02* Simbone - The man who was the highlight closing verse on the classic "Hlalusazi" has cemented his name in the local game with the release of "Kwanele" which is currently hitting the hearts of abahlali, will his album reap those benefits?

01* Iintloko Zeenyoka - these guys still hold it down, still on the rounds promoting their album "Promise To The Province" performing everywhere that has a mic in the Eastern Cape. They've kept the ball rolling and they're part reason why we are acquainted with the man in 2nd place. "Hlalusazi" FT Lush & Simbone is a track of classic status among a few others on the album.

East London, Love-less?

The day after, East London reveals it's April Fool identity. We're smart and unique. We come with a stamp of approval from the gods because we sing the chants that remind them that they are where we come from.

... The City of Dreams.

A hustler's spirit can never stay dampened by the idea of a dream slowly slipping away because giving up was never an option.

So what is this "April Fool Identity"? It's the face of deception, the truth revealing itself... my city's people don't see what we try to achieve and those who do see are too scared to lead the journey towards self-belief.

The city grows bigger & our dreams get dimmer, will these buildings ever answer my call? - B.laqphamas
